BOB is very excited to host a special event featuring presentations by three of the most well respected members of the cryptocurrency community. There will be three distinct presentations & QA sessions from our speakers at this special gathering of the Chicago Bitcoin & Open Blockchain community.

Andreas M. Antonopoulos is a technologist and serial entrepreneur who has become one of the most well-known and well-respected figures in bitcoin. He is the author of two books: “Mastering Bitcoin”, published by O’Reilly Media and considered the best technical guide to bitcoin and “The Internet of Money”, a book about why bitcoin matters.

Pamela Morgan is an attorney, educator, entrepreneur, and public speaker. She is a widely respected authority on multi-signature governance and legal innovation using digital currencies. In early 2015, she founded Third Key Solutions, LLC, a key consulting firm that works with individuals and organizations to improve the security of their crypto-holdings and ensure these assets are accessible in the event of crisis, death, or disaster.

Alyse Killeen is a Managing Partner of StillMark Co. and StillMark Capital. She is a venture capitalist with seed stage to pre-IPO investment experience, and one of the very first traditional venture investors to participate as an investor and advisor in the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystems. Alyse was further one of the initial few venture capitalists to delve into token sales and token incentivized software-based networks as early as 2013 and 2014.

Lightning Talks: This event will also include lightning talks by community members. In 3 minutes anyone can present their idea, ask for help, recruit partners, or launch new projects. It’s a perfect opportunity to find co-founders, coders, advisors, designers, and clients to help make your idea a reality. Look for the sign-up sheet at the registration table.

Logistics: The event will be held between 2pm and 5pm at mHUB which is an innovation center for physical product development and manufacturing and a co-working community. It is located just east of Chicago Ave and Milwaukee Ave, just a few blocks from the Kennedy expressway and the Blue line. Look for the BOB signs when you arrive.

As we respect our members privacy we have opted not to use event services that require names and collect credit card numbers. However, as we are expecting a large turnout, an RSVP via the meetup.com page is required. The RSVP list will be checked at the door and we will be requesting $5-$10 donations (in USD or BTC!).
